youth icon SIMBU

Silambarassan has come a long way since his child actor days. Affectionately called Simbu, the Little Superstar has come of age following the success of Gautham Vasudeva Menon’s Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa with both the upper class elite audiences and the masses rooting for him. The actor has shot into the big league of heroes with hit director Lingusamy and the classy Mani Ratnam sounding him about their next films.
From being the mass hero everyone loved to hate, Simbu has metamorphosed into a soft romantic hero with VTV. On his image makeover, the actor says, “Yeppadi irundha naan ippadi ayitain (‘Look how I’ve changed’ — a punch line made famous by comedian Vivekh). Ask him about the shift and Simbu says, “Generally, heroes enter the industry in romantic roles and then move on to action characters. In my case, it was the other way around. After the crass mass films I’ve done, the classy VTV — apart from giving me an image makeover — has helped create an all-new fan base. I hope all my future films too will be breezy romantic entertainers.”

simbu's KETTAVAN

First Look: Simbu's 'Kettavan'
Silambarasan's 'Kettavan' is finally getting ready for relase. The film has been in the making for quite some time. Simbu himself writes and directs the film; Lekha Washington is the female lead.

Simbu plays three different personalities in 'Kettavan', it is reported. As seen in his earlier offerings-- 'Manmadhan' and 'Vallavan'--this film also promises to have some stunning scenes and getups for Silambarasan.

simbu starring at dabangg remake as osthi

When Silambarasan was chosen to play the role originally perfected by Salman Khan, we were happy that a worthy successor would be able to take over the persona of Chulbul 'Robinhood' Pandey and find out if he would do it in his own way. And it seems that he would be beginning the film soon as the heroine who would take Sonakshi?s place is also here.

Introducing Simbu's heroine, the beautiful Richa Gangopadhyay, who was Rana Daggubati's heroine in Leader, the Telegu super hit movie that pushed the newcomer actors into instant stardom. Rana and Richa worked really well in the film, and the actress got several good offers following it, including a few good advertisements which further endorsed her to the producer and director who were looking for a suitable profile for Simbu.

After looking around for several stars in the north, including thinking of the original Dabangg girl Sonakshi Sinha, in the end the young Bengali girl was selected for her beauty, acting ability and fresh appeal. The film would officially begin on the 9th of May when the pooja for the film would be held and the official mahurrat would be declared to the spectators.
